Writer & Director

Sarah is a storyteller, her driving force is to share lived experiences and shine a light on characters and the world's they live in.  Her writing style is quite unique and dynamic with a preference to get up on her feet to vocally and physically discover a character's voice, point of view, arc and obstacles.  Not to mention she is a sucker for detail, the minutia is one of her favourite elements when writing because it reveals so much without using words.

Sarah has written in various formats from Stage to Sketch Comedy, Short Films, Web series, and TV Pilots. She continues to collaborate with creatives globally. She has also participated in various Pitch Competitions & received funding to pursue projects.

As a director, Sarah is an "actor's director".  She is obsessed with physical behaviour and how we as human beings communicate stories not only with words but in silence. As an actor herself, Sarah is attuned to creating characters by understanding their motivations, inner objectives, obstacles, arcs and what actions they use to achieve their needs. So when Sarah gets in the room with actors she is able to facilitate a collaboration with each actor to achieve the vision of the story. She has a critical eye and has developed a communication style that allows her to have an open dialogue with actors and creatives.

“Improvisation requires a lot of concentration, confidence, listening and a creative spirit. Sarah has all of these qualities. She is an accomplished actor but that is not all, she also has the necessary skills for being an accomplished writer and director that goes hand in hand with being a great imporviser.”
