Sarah is an award-winning Italian Australian creative (CALD) hailing from the outer suburbs of Melbourne. Growing up in an extremely expressive family, it's no surprise she has a natural flare for the dramatic. This experience cultivated a curiosity in her for storytelling, so much so that being an actor, writer and director is in her blood.

Having graduated from The University of Melbourne (VCA) Bachelor of Creative Arts, she has participated in countless courses on Australian soil and abroad. Sarah has spent the last 10 years honing her skills. Training extensively with acting practitioners internationally and in techniques the likes of Strasberg, Yat Malgram, Meisner and Stanislavski. Her physical training is rooted in Suzuki & Viewpoint (SITI Company), Laban and Alexander technique. Vocally she has worked with coaches the likes of Chris Nolan, Suzanne Heywood, Rob Meldrum, Dr. Louise Mahler and more. Her comedy training is influenced by completing The Groundlings core program (LA), doing countless sketch writing classes and training with the Improv Conspiracy in Melbourne. 

 

Sarah is the co-founder of Wailing Room Productions a Melbourne-based Production company that has produced content for outlets such as Amazon Prime, Youtube, Personal Play Argentina, SeekaTv & Flixxo. Their work has been screened at Film Festivals around the world including New Zealand, Sydney, Melbourne, South Korea, New York, New Jersey, Minnesota, Baltimore, Rome, Columbia & Argentina. 

 

Sarah received funding from The Australian Broadcast Company (Fresh Blood Recipient) to develop a digital series pilot in 2020 based on her original comedic characters.  She has also recently completed AFTRS directors’ courses with Amen Palangi and The Director’s Journey with Elissa Down. She continues to develop her work independently and with other creatives. 

 

Sarah is drawn to stories that explore how women are perceived in the world; the burdens, the pressure, their unwavering strength and capturing these stories through the lens of a darkly comedic point of view.

Sarah has a Diploma in Art Therapy and is passionate about harnessing her creativity to elevate and enhance her life. She takes a holistic approach to acting, writing, and directing and doesn't shy away from a challenge.
